i got an automated phone call fr costco yesterday announcing that the natural natucket trail mix i had bought last weekend has been recalled! the message instructed me to return it immediately for a full refund. lemme add now that i'm thoroughly impressed by how fast and proactive costco is in contacting their customers. calling me on my cell? now, that's proactive! they didn't go the wimpy email notification route like so many companies do. though... it's a little perturbing how much information they keep on me!
thankfully, i somehow mustered enough self control to not bust open the bag the entire week i had it! i especially love to munch when i'm bored, and there were many moments through out the week i contemplated ripping it open. what was amazing was that the morning of the costco call, i had seriously considered bringing some to work to share with my coworkers. but i was running late and i knew i was getting off early, so decided against it. it was seriously a stroke of luck! that little haphazard decision saved me fr salmonella poisoning! and honestly, if i hadn't received the costco call this afternoon, i probably woulda had some by now.
yup, just another day where i'm blessed. =)
